For this entry, I will share about Darul Quran. It begins when Athirah missed her family. Currently she’s staying in Darul Quran JAKIM, for three year to be a hafizah since last May. The worst thing about her homesick, she cannot concentrate with her hafazan well. At the time she’s had homesick, our parents decided to pay her a visit. The reason she cannot go back because she need to improve her hafazan and university life in the semester break. She is now at juzu’ 6. Alhamdulillah! May Allah make everything easier for her.
We begin our trip after Subuh and reach the destination around late morning. We reached Darul Quran and had a simple family reunion with lots of foods! Too bad I didn’t snap the food’s picture. It is my first time visiting Darul Quran. Located far from city, Kuala Kubu Bharu is a nice place to stay for learning and to memorizing. It is a perfect location with a great landscape. Subhanallah!! No words can describe how great the place for my sister who will be a Darul Quran Hafizah sooner.
In early stage living in Darul Quran is a bit stressful, compare to her as a newbie, everyone around her already completed at least five juzu’ and Alhamdulillah. Her tutor will be the same ustaz that interviewed her previous day. He will train Athirah until she completing her 30 juzu’ for this three years. It is the same ustaz who asked her to stay during semester break with her friends that are a bit slower for tasmic with him. We cannot thankful enough to him for his willingness to help his students to finish the hafazan. Only Allah can repay your kindness, ustaz.
“Why becoming Hafizah?”, “Where she wants to go after this?”, “What is the future for hafiz/hafizah?”; these questions were given by my uncle. Many of us not know about Darul Quran because their admittance only for students from Sekolah Agama. Even my parents never knew about this. Since I went to SMKA, I do heard and familiar with Darul Quran. People said, Darul Quran is a place for brilliant students who get straight A’s in SPM doing a fast track in tahfiz for a year and then fly to overseas for their degree. For Athirah, she is taking a diploma at Darul Quran for three years, for thirty juzu’. Five juzu’ per semester, but I’m not sure what course she’s currently enrolled in.

After graduated, they able to further their study at Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) for Degree. Darul Quran produce many talented doctor, architect, accountant, engineer, and other professional hafiz/hafizah. Athirah signed up for Darul Quran through her former school, SMKA Kedah. Her ustaz sent her and few others after SPM to Darul Quran for a month. They were taught Qiraat course while staying there. She decided to stay there and told mom about her intention after she went back from Qiraat at Darul Quran. She said she won’t be like herself now if she further her study in normal University. For sure she was passed with the interview test where she must memorize a page of Quran in an hour.
That’s all about Darul Quran, Athirah, and us. Let see few pictures of Darul Quran we took while we visit her. Thanks to Adliah for taking the pictures as well!
